Signs of malaria are very similar to flu type symptoms, so can sometimes be mistaken.
Yellow Fever vaccination is only required on entry into Zambia if you are coming from an infected area.

You are strongly advised to ensure you have medical insurance which is generally included in the purchase of your ticket.
MEASLES IN ZAMBIA
Delegates to the ISSBD Congress in Lusaka Zambia, July 2010 have no cause to worry about the reported measles outbreak in Zambia.
Zambia enjoys a good infant and child immunization program for the basic antigens for children, with coverage for measles between 60 and 85 percent. Children who do not receive vaccine accumulate over a 5 to 7 year period, resulting in pockets of outbreaks of measles among infants and children every 5 to 7 years, requiring intervention by campaign.
The 2010 outbreaks in UTH (the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka) began in March 2010, and most cases were discharged well. Those who died were malnourished, had pneumonia or retroviral disease.
Adults do not suffer from severe disease and adult delegates visiting Zambia have no cause for alarm.
