About Zambia

Arnold Sameroff is Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan, USA, and Past-President of SRCD. His primary interest is in the factors that contribute to mental health of families. He is engaged in a number of longitudinal projects with infants, school-age children, adolescents, and young adults to examine the effects of family, community, school and peer group on social-emotional and academic success using an ecological model of development. His recent books include The Transactional Model of Development: How Children and Contexts Shape Each Other, and (with Sheryl Olson) Biopsychosocial Regulatory Processes in the Development of Childhood Behavioral Problems.
