Ann Sanson is a developmental psychologist, Professor in Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne, and Network Coordinator of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY). Her main research interests revolve around the interplay of child and family characteristics and contextual factors in the development of good and poor psychosocial adjustment in children. She is Principal Scientific Advisor for the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (“Growing Up in Australia”), and principal investigator on the Australian Temperament Project, a 26-year study following participants from infancy to adulthood. Ann has a strong interest in translating knowledge around children’s development and wellbeing into evidence-based policy and practice.
