Proposal Abstracts submitted on line

Each proposal received has been appraised by two qualified reviewers under the guidance of an expert Proposal Review Panel, drawn from the membership of the International Scientific Programme Committee and the African Research Advisory Panel constituted for the 2010 Congress, and members of the Executive Committee of the ISSBD.

Decisions by the Proposal Review Panel are being sent to the email address of the submitting author in phases. Decisions on proposals submitted before 16 September were sent by mid-December. And decisions on most of those submitted between 16 September and 31 October had been sent by 1 February. Proposals received between 2 November and 31 December are currently under review and we plan to send decisions to the submitting authors by the end of February.

The ABSTRACT MANAGER system was designed to provide automatic feedback to confirm that you have successfully submitted your proposal and tell you the date by which you can expect to receive notification by email of a decision by the Proposal Review Panel whether or not to accept your proposal for inclusion in the programme of the Congress. Note that once you submitted a proposal, it was automatically assigned an Abstract number, and you were registered as a submitting author.

Although, due to some technical problems, that information was not automatically sent to your email address, it was displayed on screen, together with a username and password. You can use these to check on the status of your proposal by entering them in the appropriate fields of the LOGIN menu on this page.

The scientific programme of the congress, including dates and times for all accepted posters, symposia, and poster workshops, along with the invited addresses and symposia will be published as soon as possible. We expect to complete the first draft by the end of March.
